Robert L. Hackmann, Sr., 89, Foristell, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Assisted Living at the Meadowlands in O’Fallon.

The son of Leland and Dora (Lamb) Hackmann, he was born March 10, 1930 in St. Charles, Missouri.

On April 23, 1955, he married Claire Elmendorf and she preceded him in death on May 19, 1992.

Also preceding him were his parents; one daughter, Coleen Hackmann; three sisters, Lorraine Hackmann, Kay Stewart and Dot Ohrman; and one brother, Floyd Hackmann.

He is survived by: two daughters, Joleen Roberts and her husband, Doug of Foristell, Missouri and Jill Noland and her husband, Randy of St. Charles, Missouri; one son, Bob Hackmann and his wife, Tricia of Foristell, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Chad Roberts, Jessica LaTorre, Jacob Noland, Kelly Noland, Justin Hackmann, Julia Hackmann, and Luke Hackmann; four great-grandchildren, Austen, Claire, Beth, and Tess; and one brother, Charles Hackmann and his wife, Mary Lou of Troy, Missouri.

Mr. Hackmann served in the U.S Navy during the Korean War as a Navy Seabee. He was a life-long carpenter. At the time of his retirement, he was employed by McGrath and Associates.
