It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Clyde Hendrian on November 11 at the age of 65.
Born on November 2, 1958, in Decatur, IL, Robert was the beloved husband of Janet (Gohs) Hendrian, a devoted father to Katie (Thomas) LePage, Jonny (Allie) Hendrian, Becky (Mason) Addison, and Beth (Trey) Hightower, and a cherished grandfather to Dario, Aurelia, Julian, Bennett, Ausley, and Sloane.
Rob's zest for life was evident in his love for rock music, coaching his kids' sports teams, and his unwavering loyalty to the Cleveland Browns. He had a passion for lemon baked goods, sour candy, and Sunkist orange pop. Christmas was his favorite time of year, marked by his flashy decorations and annual preparation of delicious chicken feed for family and friends.
Professionally, Rob dedicated over 40 years to the railroad, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues who admired his hard work and commitment.
A Catholic service to celebrate Rob's life will be held on Friday, November 17th, at Immaculate Conception (Dardenne Prairie), followed by a reception at Pitman Funeral Home (Wentzville). In remembrance, the family requests donations to the Foundation at Barnes Jewish Hospital, where Rob received his lung transplant (foundationbarnesjewish.org/transform-health-care).
Rob is survived by his former wife, Janet, his children, grandchildren, and siblings, Allen (Gaila) Hendrian, and Terri Meade. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Hendrian Jr. and Aleeta (Gillman) Hendrian, his sister, Leigh Myers, and aunt, Claradine Mense.
The family expresses gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. Join us in remembering and celebrating the remarkable life of Robert Hendrian.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
