Robert B. Wideman Obituary

Robert B. Wideman of Warrenton, Missouri, passed away on August 17, 2025 at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Wideman (nee: Cofer). He is survived by his two sons, Paul Wideman of Hawk Point, MO, and Brian (Jennifer) Wideman of Hawk Point, MO; seven grandchildren, Riley, Samuel, Alyssa, Adyson, Adrianna, Alexandrea and Arik; sister, Judy Pickens. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilford Wideman, mother, Cornelia Wideman (nee: Hawkins).   


Robert was deeply devoted to his wife, Beverly and together they were blessed with two children, Paul and Brian. Robert was very patriotic and served in the United States Army as an airborne Pathfinder in Vietnam between 1967-1969. A dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge in Warrenton, Missouri, Robert was known for his commitment to the community and service. He was an avid conservationist, with a profound passion for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, or bird watching, Robert found great happiness in nature. His love for German Shepherds was an essential part of his life, he took great pride in breeding and raising these loyal companions. A National Champion Marksman, Robert’s skill and precision was admired by many. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and family creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family will be meeting at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, MO.  Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM for procession to the Cemetery.
