Robert "Bob" Greiwe Obituary

Robert "Bob" Greiwe of Defiance, Missouri, passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of the late Wanda Greiwe (née: Schemmer) of Defiance, Missouri; two sons, Terry (Linda) Greiwe of Phoenix, AZ, Todd (Dawn) Greiwe of Foristell, MO; two daughters, Marcia (Richard) Vance of Defiance, MO, Connie (Daryl) Kisker of St. Peters, MO; grandchildren, Amy (Cory) Schramm, Tracy (Rich) Kuberski, Stephanie (Mike) Horstmeier, Doug (Jill) Kisker, Matt Kisker (fiancé Christal Huber), Mandy (Brett) Diehl, Alex (Alex) Hollenback, Dillon (Lynnsey) Greiwe, Ryan (Megan) Greiwe, Rhia (Adam) Eiberger; seventeen and one on the way great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; his two sister-in-laws, Glenda Greiwe, and Sandy Greiwe; He is preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Greiwe, Mother, Aldine Greiwe (née: Hesskamp), brother, Kenneth Greiwe, brother, Marlin Greiwe, infant sister, Carol Jean Greiwe. 

Robert Greiwe was born in Saint Charles, Missouri, the beloved son of the late Raymond and Aldine Greiwe. 

Robert and Wanda were married on October 16, 1954, and celebrated more than 71 years together before her recent passing. Bob was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Melle, reflecting his faith and longstanding church involvement. Robert was a Charter member of the Daniel Boone Gun Club and a member of the Carpenter's Union 1987, and #32 for over 50 years. After high school, Robert worked at the car shop in Saint Charles and then drove the milk truck for St. Charles Dairy before becoming a carpenter. 

Robert's passions included hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, farming, checking calves, camping, and enjoying activities at the gun club. He especially loved taking his grandkids on 4-wheeler rides around the farm and hunting with them. Robert was always there for his kids, helping them build houses, garages, and decks. He was a dedicated 4-H leader who helped his grandkids raise animals for fairs. He was also instrumental in getting wild turkeys released in Missouri. In his later years, Robert enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and even made a couple of trips to Germany. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
