Rosemary Ann Collins, age 86, passed away on December 14, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edward and Mary Rose (Swabo) Hydzik.
On October 10, 1959, Rosemary married the love of her life, John F. Collins, Jr., in St. Louis. Together they shared a devoted marriage and raised three daughters.
Rosemary enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. She loved dancing-especially the Jitterbug-camping, and going to garage sales. Music was close to her heart, with Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck among her favorite singers. Rosemary and John enjoyed spending winters as snowbirds, escaping the cold. Above all, her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, John F. Collins, Jr.; her three daughters, Karen (Gary) Riggs of St. Peters, MO, Kelly (significant other, Dan Jaspering) Dothage of Warrenton, MO, Kimberly (Frank) Shockley of St. Peters, MO; brother, Richard (Nancy) Hydzik of Soda Spring, ID; grandchildren, Adam (Shannon), Alex (Courtney), Andrew (Erin), and Allison Riggs, Jason (Angie), Jamie (Shawn), Joshua (Rischell), and Jarrod (Dominique) Dothage, Jacob (Abbigail), Zachery (Maria), and Luke (Emily) Shockley; She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Matthew Hydzik, mother, Mary Rose (Swabo) Hydzik, brothers, Edward Hydzik and Robert Hydzik.
Rosemary will be remembered for her love of family, her joyful spirit, and the warmth she brought to those who knew her.
