Rosemary Eder nee Eggering of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri passed away on May 21, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born in Ravenna, Nebraska on January 7, 1928. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert "Al" Henry Eder of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. She is survived by her three daughters, Therese (Donald) Wist of St. Peters, Missouri, Janine Wegeng of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Lewis of Centerton, Arkansas; two sons, Michael Eder of Wright City, Missouri, Thomas (Cindy) Eder of Tomah, Wisconsin; one sister, Patricia Hopkins of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her father Edward Eggering, mother Rose O’Neill Eggering, husband Albert Eder, daughter Mary Tisi, daughter Elizabeth Eder, grandson Travis Alexander Wist, brother James Eggering, brother William Eggering and sister Lucille Mohlmann.
Rosemary’s father was originally from Old Monroe, Missouri and moved to Nebraska for opportunities in the farming industry. The Eggering family moved back to St Charles County during the Dust Bowl of the 1930’s.
Rosemary was united in marriage to her handsome husband Albert, February 24, 1949 at All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, Missouri. Albert and Rosemary met at a USO dance while Rosemary was working in the Pentagon in Washington D.C and Albert was in the Navy stationed in Maryland. They were married for 68 years. They lived in St. Charles for many years before they moved to Dardenne Prairie in 1962.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Dardenne for over 50 years were she served on the Parrish Council, Birth Right, St. Vincent DePaul and as a Eucharistic minister. She also volunteered at St. Joseph West Hospital up until she was 88 years old. She enjoyed sewing and gardening but her passion was floral arranging. She taught many of the local children her talents in 4H.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
