Roy "Speedy" Giesmann

Roy "Speedy" Giesmann of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 94. He is survived by his beloved wife Janet Giesmann (nee: Wilmes) of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Chris Giesmann of St. Charles, MO; daughter, Trish (Jeff ) Eddy of St. Charles, MO; brother, Frank Giesmann of Wentzville, MO; grandchildren, Caitlyn, C.J. and Craig; He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Giesmann, mother, Blanch Giesmann (nee: Vuch), brother, Bud Giesmann, brother, Damon Giesmann, brother, Bill Giesmann.  

Roy served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Wentzville American Legion Post 323. He worked at the United States Post Office for many years before retiring. Roy and his wife, Janet, were longtime members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville. He enjoyed playing golf, watching softball games at Fireman’s Park, and his granddaughter’s soccer games. Roy was a St. Louis Blues and Cardinals fan and enjoyed catching a game anytime he could. But above all, Roy loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
