Russell J. Dreisewerd

Russell Joseph Dreisewerd, of Old Monroe, Missouri, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 82.

Russell was born on July 8, 1943, in Old Monroe, Missouri, the son of Paul and Anna (née Bock) Dreisewerd. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Janice (née Burkemper), and together they shared 58 wonderful years before her passing in 2020.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Russell was employed with Freise Construction Company in Old Monroe for 48 years and was a proud member of Carpenters Local 1875. Known for his skill and craftsmanship, he took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Outside of work, Russell found joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who especially enjoyed turkey and deer hunting.

Russell is survived by his four children, Annette (Rick) Ray, Bill (Tracy) Dreisewerd, Scott (Sharon) Dreisewerd, and Dean (Charlie) Dreisewerd; grandchildren, Logan and Nick; sister-in-law, Terry Dreisewerd; and brother-in-law, Ed Bruckerhoff. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Dreisewerd, mother, Anna Dreisewerd (neé Bock), wife, Janice Dreisewerd (neé Burkemper), brother, Rich Dreisewerd and sister, Audrey Bruckerhoff.
