Ruth Mary Harvey (Ohmes), 83, peacefully departed this earthly realm on September 10, 2023, in Augusta, Missouri, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 10, 1940, in St. Charles County, Missouri, to Christopher Joseph Ohmes and Marie Marget Ohmes (Himmelsbach) Ruth exemplified the virtues of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation throughout her life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, who consistently placed family above all else. With the heart of a lion. Ruth never turned away a soul in need, embodying the spirit of compassion and kindness. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones was a testament to her selflessness, as she gave of herself until it caused her own heartache. Ruth's life was a testament to the values she held dear, and her legacy would forever shine as a beacon of love and warmth.
Ruth leaves behind her beloved children, Christine Nicoles, Chappy (Harry) Harvey and Paul Harvey (Monika). She will be deeply missed by her adoring grandchildren: Chad Harvey, Micheal Harvey (Becca), Richard Harvey, Josh Harvey (Julia), Nora Nicoles, Shelly Harvey, Ashley Smith (Zeb), Jeremy Harvey (Tasha). Ruth's love and presence will also be treasured by her great-grandchildren: Wesley Bledsoe, Natalie Bledsoe, Mason Harvey, Bella Harvey, Landon Harvey, Jade Harvey, Blake Harvey, Beau Smith, Bailey Smith, Eloise Harvey, Jordan Harvey, and Abigail Harvey. great-great-grandchild, Vinny Harvey, additionally, Two sisters Darlene Thomas (Robert), Patricia Blasko (Erwin) and two brothers Richard Ohmes (Rita) Donald Ohmes.
She is preceded in death by Her loving husband Harry Albert Harvey, son Kenneth "Bubba" Wayne Harvey, grandchild April Rose Harvey and one Great grandchild Oliver Wayne Harvey.
In reverence and gratitude for Ruth's remarkable life, a celebration of her journey will be held at Pitman in Wentzville, Missouri, on September 21st, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As we bid farewell to our beloved Ruth, a private burial ceremony will take place at Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. September 22nd, 2023. Ruth's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, as we carry forward the lessons of love, humility, and respect that she instilled in us. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her unwavering faith shall forever inspire us all. May her soul find eternal peace as she joins the divine embrace of our heavenly father.
