Sandra S. (Mitkos) Ziegemeier

Sandra S. Ziegemeier (nee: Mitkos) of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on June 25, 2025 at the age of 81. She is survived by her son, Michael (Teri) Mooney of High Ridge, MO; two daughters, Kimberly Harper of Hickory Creek, TX, and Casey Overton of Fenton, MO; two brothers, Col. Leslie (Yvonne) Mitkos Jr. of Concordia, MO, and Lynn Mitkos of Wisconsin Dells, WI; sister, Peggy (Dale) Smith of Granite City, IL; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Kyle, Sean, Nick, Christian, Kevyn, Collin, Tyler, and Ellen; nine, great grandchildren; She is preceded in death by her father, Leslie Miktkos, Sr., mother, Gloria Mitkos (nee: Upmeyer).   

Sandra was known for her fiery personality and zest for life, she embraced each day with enthusiasm and kindness. She was a firm believer of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She found joy in many pursuits, including gardening, and was a passionate reader, where she often got lost in the pages of a good book. Her artistic talents shone through in her oil paintings and watercolors, capturing the beauty she cherished. She also enjoyed crocheting, creating cherished pieces for her loved ones, and couldn’t resist a visit to Macy's whenever she had the chance and you could always catch her with her favorite sweet treat, mint chocolate chip ice cream. Above all, Sandra loved her family and spending time with them and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
