Shala Huff Obituary

Shala Eileen (Shore) Huff, 83, of High Ridge, Missouri, was born May 25th, 1938 in DeSoto, Missouri to William and Ethel Shore. She passed away at St. Joseph’s West Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.

Shala was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, James Bernard Huff. She is survived by her three sons, Paul (Caroline), Dale (Ellie), and Steven (Jessica); seven grandchildren, Derringer, Courtney, Preston, Maggie, Alivia, James, and Evie; and sister, Marie Hoelscher (Karl) of Robstown, Texas.

Shala was a devoted stay-at-home mother and housewife but pursued many interests inside and outside of the home. She enjoyed her dogs, genealogy, painting, gardening, and tending to her plants. She served as team mother for High Ridge Khoury League, founding member of the Friends of the Library of Jefferson County (Northwest Branch), member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Botanical Gardens volunteer, and school room mother.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer organization and/or the Alzheimer’s Association. These dreadful diseases impacted Shala’s quality of life and it was important to her to continue the fight until there is a cure.
