Steven Poole

Steven Poole, age 80, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away on November 11, 2025.  He was born on August 6, 1945, in Ocilla, Georgia.

Steve married his loving wife, Joyce, on October 7, 1966 and together they shared fifty-nine wonderful years together. They were blessed with two children, Brian and Lori, who were his pride and joy.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Steve served his country with honor before beginning a long and dedicated career as a surveyor with Sterling Company, where he worked for over 50 years.

After retiring, he enjoyed spending his time building hot rods, attending car shows and cruises, and sharing his passion for cars with friends during Tuesday car nights. He could often be found in his garage tinkering on a new project, always happiest with a wrench in hand and good company nearby.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Brian Poole of Lake St. Louis, MO; daughter, Lori (Bob) Byington of St. Peters, MO; sister, Marilyn (Jack) Capps of Silex, MO; four grandchildren, Andrea Poole, Kevin Byington, Robert Wallsmith, Annabell Wallsmith; two great-grandchildren, Ivy and Charlee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Poole, mother, Rosemary (Thompson) Poole, and brothers, David and Larry Poole.
