Susan Pleis Obituary

Susan Pleis passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of William Pleis of Wentzville, Missouri; In loving memory of Sue Pleis, a retired American Airline Ticket Agent, loving wife and proud mother whose legacy extends through her devoted family. Sue was a pillar of support for her husband Bill, who played for the Minnesota Twins and scouted for the Dodgers. For 30 years, Sue and Bill embraced the sunshine in Florida, where they created many friendships and wonderful memories living in the River Wilderness community and Sue reveled in her passion for interior design, bowling and golf, creating cherished moments with her family and friends.
Sue leaves behind her loving children: Stacey (Ed) Moore, a successful owner of a gymnastics center; Scott (Lisa) Pleis, a former pro baseball player and baseball scout; and Steve Pleis, a professional golfer. Her warmth and care touched the lives of her grandchildren: Casey (Christy), Ziggy (Liz), Austin, Brock, and great-great-grandchildren: Izzy, Avery, Cooper, Colton, and Brooks; brother, Charlie Haddock of Wright City, MO; four sisters, Pat Hofstetter of Eureka, MO, Stephanie Graves of MD, Debbie (Ron) Reese of FL, Hilaire (John) Yoder of O' Fallon, MO; She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Haddock, mother, Margaret Sue's influence resonates in the achievements of her family, creating a tapestry of love and accomplishment that will forever be cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.
