Terry Dean Juden, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Foristell, Missouri, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on St. Patrick’s Day in 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Terry lived a life defined by his unwavering dedication to his family, his sharp wit, and a smile that never left his face.
Terry was the son of the late Wilbur Austin Juden and Dorothy Lou Juden (Haman). He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1971 and went on to earn his first degree in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University in 1979. He began his career serving the public as a law enforcement officer in Arkansas City, Kansas. A lifelong learner with a tireless work ethic, Terry later returned to Wichita State, earning an accounting degree in 1988-a profession he practiced with integrity until his retirement at the age of 70.
On July 14, 1978, Terry married the love of his life, Linda Lee Juden (Goldsmith). Together, they shared 43 years of marriage and built a life centered on faith and family until her passing on August 1, 2021. For Terry, "family was life." He was a constant presence in the lives of his three sons, Adam, Eric, and Alan, and shared his thirst for adventure with them through scouting and scuba diving. After Linda’s passing, he found great happiness with his loving companion, Melodie Parman.
Perhaps Terry’s most cherished role was that of Santa Claus. Starting in 1972, he brought the magic of Christmas to countless families for nearly two decades, a tradition he joyfully resumed for his six grandchildren. Whether he was wearing the red suit or simply telling one of his famous jokes, Terry had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel special and loved.
Terry is survived by his children: Weston Adam (Kate) Juden, Eric Dean (Anne) Juden, and Alan Lee (Sarah) Juden; his six beloved grandchildren: Maura, Landon, Adelyn, Dean, AJ, and Daniel. He also leaves behind his siblings: Vicki Richardson, Bob Juden, Christie Andrews, Randy Juden, Tracy Adams, and Troy Juden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents; and his siblings, Andy Juden and Nancy Jones.
A faithful member of Epic Church in Troy, Missouri, Terry’s legacy of kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
