Terry Lewis, 75, passed away on Sunday, May 22nd, in St. Louis, MO, from Dementia.
He was born on January 8, 1947, in St. Charles, MO, to his parents, Willene (Pat) and Steve Lewis. Terry grew up in Wentzville and upon graduation served in the U. S. Army. When Terry returned from the Army in 1969, he married his high school sweetheart Gwen Mungle. They were married 52 years, until her death in May 2021. Terry was employed in the grocery business for 40 years, he was a volunteer firefighter with the Wentzville Fire Department from 1978 to 1990, and was active in the local chapter of the American Legion.
Terry enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was an artist and enjoyed painting landscapes and spending time with his dogs. Terry was an avid golfer; he and Gwen enjoyed spending days on the golf course.
Terry is survived by his two daughters, Margie (Keith) Talbot of Cincinnati, OH, and Jane Lewis of Renton, WA; sister, Sandy (Greg) McVicar of Wentzville, MO; two grandsons, Parker and Alex Talbot; and his K-9 companion, Archie. He is preceded in death by his wife, mother, and father. Terry is now at peace but will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
