Theodore "Ted" Shank of O' Fallon, Missouri, passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Christine Shank (nee: Bare) of O' Fallon, Missouri; He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Tim) Peters of Wentzville, MO; one brother; two sisters; two grandchildren, Gabriella, and Alexander; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Shank, mother Carol Shank (nee: Wolf), and one brother.

Ted spent 20 years of his professional life working as a machinist and foreman at Teledyne Metal Co. After his retirement, he embraced a new venture, establishing "In House Maintenance," where he offered handyman services including painting, flooring, electrical and repairs. His commitment to service extended to his church, where he contributed his skills for many years. A proud veteran, Ted served in the United States Army with the 589th Engineer Battalion during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968, followed by service in the Air Cavalry from 1969 to 1970. His bravery was recognized through multiple awards, including the Silver Star for heroically saving a Colonel's life, Bronze Star and Purple Star. As a member of the VFW, Wentzville local #5327, he was deeply respected by his fellow veterans. Ted was also a devout Christian, and his faith played a central role in his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed jogging, cycling, and indulging his passions for Mustang cars and was a Ford man. A fan of NASCAR, he attended races whenever possible and loved sharing moments with family on vacations and cruises. In addition, he found entertainment in watching stolen valor videos on YouTube. Ted also dedicated time to serving his community as a volunteer fireman for Concord Township, Indiana.
