Thomas Lee Gooch of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 78. He is survived by his beloved wife Audrey Gooch (née: Enloe) of Wright City, Missouri; mother, Rose Alice Schmidt (née: Hornbeck); son, Kevin Michael (Tara) Gooch; two daughters, Karina Lee (Willie) Server (née: Gooch), Michele (Scott) Gerdes (née: Wicks); two sisters, Rose (Paul) Jordan, Mary Pamela (Gerald) Erickson; niece, Rebecca Dinora; nephew, Jesse (Debbie) Jordan; grandchildren, Kearston Gooch, Jake and Katie Server, and Zachary Gerdes; Close friends, Sharon and Angie Wanek. He is preceded in death by his father, David Schmidt.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic, belonging to Abigail Lodge #636 Freedom Masonic Lodge, and a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite, where he formed many lasting friendships and faithfully served his community.
Thomas found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a talented woodworker who took pride in creating projects, traveling, spending time on the golf course, and found peace tending to his garden.
 A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Wright City, Thomas was deeply involved in his church.
Above all else, Thomas treasured his family. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with them and his grandchildren. In his younger years, he was an avid sports enthusiast who loved playing a variety of sports. He especially loved cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, proudly supporting them from the sidelines and celebrating each of their accomplishments.
Thomas will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Thomas Gooch will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 10:00A.M. to 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church of Wright City 104 Hedeman Rd. Wright City, MO 63390. Funeral Services will immediate follow at 12:00Noon at the church.
