Thomas "Tom" M. Snyder, 66, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 7:18 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home in Hannibal, MO.
Tom was born October 3, 1959, in Philadelphia, PA to Charles Vincent Snyder and Dolores "Dee" Cecelia Tamulis Snyder.
Survivors include his mother, Dolores "Dee" Snyder, of Lake St. Louis, MO; dear companion, Iseth Alvarez Escala, of Panama; five children, Brian Snyder (Amee) of Independence, MO, Patrick Snyder of Centralia, MO, Julia Brody (Robert) of Wellsville, MO, Kurt Snyder (Jennifer) of San Diego, CA, and Rachel Snyder of Hannibal, MO; one brother, Charlie Snyder of Lake St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Deborah Sproat (Doug) of Hermann, MO, Patricia Moushey (Coyte Bryson) of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Dolores "Lori" Spencer (Reid) of Wright City, MO; six grandchildren, Tryndamere, Finnian, Madison, Matthias, Sydney, and Jase; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father.
Tom proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
Professionally, Tom retired from Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, where he was a Registered Nurse for over 36 years.
Tom found joy fishing and boating at Mark Twain Lake. A sports enthusiast through and through, Tom also enjoyed watching and listening to hockey, football, baseball, and basketball games, with the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Cowboys, and St. Louis Cardinals being a few of his favorite teams. He loved being outdoors working in the yard and tending to his vegetable garden. Trout fishing in Canada with his father and visiting the shore in New Jersey were some of Tom's most beloved memories. Tom had the best sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He loved all animals and often took to caring for strays. Most of all, Tom treasured his family and the times they spent together.
