Virginia Gingerich Obituary

Virgina Renee Gingerich (Ginny), 72, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, was born November 29, 1948 in Goshen, Indiana to Marian and Raymond Mann. She ascended to heaven Friday, May 28th at 1:36am at the St. John’s Mercy Hospital, in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Ginny is survived by her three children, Angela Cromer, Ryan Gingerich, and Kyle Gingerich; nine grandchildren, William, Brendan, Gabbie, Drew, Bella, Lauren, Sophie, Olivia, Colton; her former spouse, Ronald Gingerich; and sister, Frannie Payne.

As a long-time resident of Captiva Island, Florida, Ginny spent much of her time there, enjoying the tropical location, her friends, and church. Ginny was a devoted Christian woman, philanthropist, and an accomplished watercolor artist. She was a lover of music, Robert Redford, Hugh Jackman, and was a world traveler. Ireland and Israel were her two favorite places; she spoke of them often.

During Ginny’s early professional years, she worked for the airlines and as a travel agent. Feeling the call to tend to her children, she took on the role of a stay-at-home mother. She continued in this role until all of her children were grown and out on their own. Ginny was an amazingly caring woman and her greatest joy was to help others. Realizing she had the means to make a difference in the world, she founded the A.R.K Foundation- a nonprofit established to support those who actively demonstrate the love of God, through ministry to people. Her hope was that even after her passing, she would be able to remain helping others through this foundation.

Ginny was the most amazing mother, always caring, always full of love, always there with an encouraging word, and always praying for her family. She will be missed dearly.
