Walter William Menne of Flint Hill, MO, passed away on July 30th, 2020 at the age of 79. He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa “Kathy” Menne (nee Eisenbath) along with his five children; Teri (Dave) Forbeck of Flint Hill, MO; Tim (Kathy) Menne of Lee’s Summit, MO; Jill (Mark) Wilmes of Troy, MO; Juli (Tony) Rothermich of Flint Hill, MO; Ron (Tina) Menne of Dardenne, MO. Proud Grandfather of Lauren (Zach) Heidbrier, Katie (Brian) Frigerio, Jake Forbeck, Seth Rothermich, Wade Wilmes, Rachel Forbeck, Elizabeth Menne, Chloe Rothermich, Molly Menne, Michael Menne, Lilly Menne and Claire Rothermich. Proud Great-Grandfather of Evelyn Heidbrier. Brother of Joan (Dallas) Petry and Carol (Bob) Blubaugh. Brother-in law of Jim Eisenbath, Betty Blechle, Doris (Ralph) Griesenauer and Kenny (Sharon) Eisenbath. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Menne and ten of his 12 siblings: Clifford Menne, Earl Menne, Harold Menne, Lester Menne, Arlene Reininger, Darleen Jenkins, June Menne, Marian Menne, Margaret Menne and Ruth Martin. On Kathy’s side of family, he is preceded in death by Bernard and Lillian Eisenbath, Don Blechle and Madge Eisenbath.
Walter married the love of his life, Kathy, on May 11th, 1963, and celebrated 57 years of marriage. He was employed by Shelter Insurance for 35 years. He was an active member of St. Theodore Parish in Flint Hill, MO and active in the Knights of Columbus. He loved to golf, play cards, spend time with his family and was always taking care of someone. Walter was a loving husband, father, father- in- law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, godfather and friend who will be missed dearly.
