William "Bill" J. Groneck

William "Bill" J. Groneck of Marthasville, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Groneck (nee: Graham); He is survived by his son, Tim (Rita) Groneck of Foristell, MO; three daughters, Mary Kay (Tom) Heap of Freeburg, IL, Sue M. (Mark) Weis of Lake Worth, FL, Karen (Mike) Kennedy of Eureka, MO; brother, John (Gloria) Groneck of Fulton, MO; sister, Ruth Ann Wickham of Spencer, MA; grandchildren, Sarah, Chris, Rachel, Mike, Emily, Kristi, Jen, Katie and Kelli; eighteen great grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his father, William J. Groneck, mother, Anna May Groneck (nee: Pease).  

Bill was a dedicated member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where he found community and connection throughout his life. Bill’s passion for sports shone brightly in his younger years. A talented baseball player, he was proud to have been drafted by the Browns. Bill and his loving late wife, Mary, shared a beautiful marriage and raised four wonderful children: Tim, Mary Kay, Sue, and Karen. He took immense pride in being a father, always supporting, mentoring, and cheering for his children in all their endeavors. His love for the outdoors extended beyond sports; he was an avid hunter and fisherman, often sharing stories of his adventures in the stunning hills of Missouri. Bill cherished the beauty of the state he loved, frequently saying, "Missouri has everything." As a conservationist and forest keeper, Bill dedicated himself to protecting the environment and ensuring the preservation of nature for future generations. His commitment to conservation reflected his deep respect for the world around him. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
