Bill proudly served in the Air Force National Guard.  He retired from a fulfilling job in IT sales.  He enjoyed his work, travel, and the friendships he formed throughout his life.  He had a strong sense of adventure and especially loved snow skiing.  He founded the Trails End Ski Club, which grew into one of the St Louis area’s largest ski clubs, and passed his love of skiing on to his children and grandchildren.  Bill was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife Donna Coppinger Ryan; daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Besancenez, Adrianne Calderon, Ashley (Hunter) Ketcherside, Melissa (Shawn) Falvey; son Matt (Katie) Hoven; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Madelyn Ryan, Judy Ritchie, Maureen (Chip) Mula.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Susan “Susie” Garman and Ann Buchanan; and son-in-law Brad Calderon.  Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.  His contagious smile brightened every room.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
