William Don Vogel, Jr. "Willy," was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was married to his beloved wife, Patricia Vogel, for 46 years. Together they raised two children, Sheila and Lee. He was the proud grandfather of Alisha, Aspen, Fionna, and Lucas, and great-grandfather of Luella and Lincoln.

William was a proud Vietnam veteran and an active member of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), AMVETS, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He was especially honored to serve as Post Commander of VFW Post 5327 in Wentzville.

Born in St. Louis on September 8, 1944, William was raised in Jennings, Missouri. After attending college, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic. Following his military service, he worked as an automotive mechanic before becoming a parts store counterman. He eventually fulfilled his dream of owning his own business, Pearce Road Auto Parts in Wentzville, Missouri. Even after retiring, William continued working part-time doing what he loved until he fully retired.

As both a father and a veteran, William believed in giving back to his community. He volunteered with several veterans' organizations and committees and, for a time, coached little league football with the O'Fallon Bandits.

William passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, from complications of lung cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
